4.   In groups, re-read one of the following TedTalks, speech, or interview: Adichie , Solzhenitsyn, Shafak Politics of Fiction and Shafak Power of Diverse Thought, Akpan, and Erdrich. Highlight important quotes in which the writer speaks about the role of the writer or the role of literature / storytelling.  Write these quotes on your group poster.



Tonight and tomorrow, start thinking about the role of literature / storytelling in YOUR life and how this might connect to any of the "power quotes" that you wrote on your posters.  On Thursday, you will be writing an essay in which you explore the role of literature / storytelling in your life.
